Russian shelling causes destruction at Kyiv student dormitories - footage reveals

In the aftermath of a large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv, one of the student dormitories at the Kyiv Aviation Institute (KAI) has taken a direct hit. Acting rector Kseniia Semenova reported that despite some injuries, everyone managed to stay safe in the shelter[2][4]. The attack was part of a broader assault on the city using missiles and drones, causing casualties and destruction across its length and breadth[1][4].

Now, the institute is relocating affected students and employees from the damaged dormitory to safer accommodations[4]. The affected areas, particularly Solomyansky and Svyatoshynskyi districts, see high-rise buildings and residential areas bearing the brunt of the attack[1][4].

The city administration and emergency services are working tirelessly to restore order and provide support to the affected residents and institutions[4]. As the situation unfolds and Ukrainian authorities and educational institutions issue updates, we'll keep you posted on the progress at the KAI.
