India News Desk Follow Us Russian President Vladimir Putin verbally slammed the Pahalgam terror attack and expressed full support for India in the fight against terrorism during a phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additionally, Putin indicated his acceptance to visit India for a summit later this year. Both leaders pledged to deepen India-Russia ties during the conversation.

According to Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, Putin strongly condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack and expressed deep condolences for the loss of innocent lives. He also emphasized that the perpetrators behind this heinous act and their supporters need to be brought to justice.

Prior to this conversation, Russian Foreign Minister S V Lavrov and Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had a phone call where they discussed the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Lavrov urged for the resolution of conflicts between India and Pakistan through political and diplomatic means on a bilateral basis.

On a positive note, PM Modi extended the invitation to Putin to attend the annual bilateral summit in India later this year. Putin graciously accepted the invitation.
