The controversial motorcycle gang, the Night Wolves, are rolling into Berlin. Their journey takes them to sites like the Tiergarten and Treptower Park, both adorned with Soviet memorials. Approximately 200 Night Wolves riders are estimated to participate, but Berlin's police department has stated, "We don't anticipate quite that number." Historically, attendance has been lower.

The police have revealed that the bikers will journey from the city's outskirts to the Tiergarten memorial initially. Upon arrival, they plan to park their motorcycles near the Tiergarten and march towards the monument in groups of 8 to 10 individuals.

While there's no information regarding the Night Wolves presence in Berlin by morning, the police will provide escorts for the group from the city limits and throughout their route to Treptow. The police maintain a hope for a "respectful and peaceful remembrance" from the motorcyclists.

The police will also be watchful for infractions of the general decree, like forbidding the display of Soviet flags at the memorials. The Night Wolves, vocal supporters of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Crimea annexation, as well as known extremists, will be scrutinized for war-glorifying symbols on their vests.

Earlier this week, Russian bikers already marked memorial sites in Brandenburg, leaving wreaths in Schönwalde and Baruth before making their way to Berlin. The Night Wolves embarked on their journey from Moscow at the end of April and are undertaking the "Victory Ride," a controversial annual event that honors the Soviet Union's victory in World War II.
