In a recent incident, Russian combat jets breached the security zone above the Polish oil platform, Petrobaltic, in the Baltic Sea. The event took place on a reported date, but no specific Polish concern was mentioned in connection with the previous incident involving Estonia and Russia.

The Polish armed forces and other services were notified, and the Polish border guard announced the violation of the security zone. The Russian aircraft stayed in Estonia's airspace for a total of 12 minutes. However, the identified pilots or regular crews of the two Russian combat aircraft that approached the Polish Petrobaltic oil platform have not been publicly disclosed in the available reports.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that Russian aircraft have been involved in such incidents. Previously, Russian combat jets approached a Polish drilling rig in the Baltic Sea, and the Italian air force was involved in intercepting Russian aircraft in a similar incident.

NATO responded to the latest incident by deploying fighter jets from the Italian air force to intercept the Russian aircraft. This is reminiscent of a previous incident where the Italian air force was also involved in intercepting Russian aircraft.

It is worth noting that the location of the previous incident was not within the Polish economic zone of the Baltic Sea. The Baltic Sea island of Vaindloo, located in Estonia, was the site of a previous Russian aircraft violation of Estonia's airspace.

Despite the breach of the security zone, it was reported that no state borders were violated, according to a spokeswoman for the authority. This suggests that while the incident is concerning, it did not pose a direct threat to the sovereignty of any nation.

The Polish oil platform, Petrobaltic, is situated in the Polish economic zone of the Baltic Sea, approximately 70 km north of Jastarnia. The platform's location makes it a strategic site, and any potential breaches of its security zone could have significant implications.

The spokeswoman for the Ministry of the Interior reported the incident, highlighting the transparency and accountability of the Polish government in dealing with such matters. As the situation develops, more information is expected to be released, providing a clearer understanding of the incident and its implications.
