Russian Holidays: November Tours Cheaper, Egypt & UAE Top Picks
Russian holidaymakers are set for a more affordable November this year, with a significant drop in overseas tour prices and a surge in bookings, particularly for Egypt and the UAE. The ruble's strength and expanded air routes have contributed to these changes.
The average cost of an organized overseas tour during Russia’s November holidays in 2025 was 222,700 rubles ($2,765), a 2.6% decrease from the previous year. This trend was echoed in other popular destinations. Holiday packages to Turkey fell by 5% to 174,000 rubles ($2,160), while trips to the UAE dropped by 3.4% to 213,400 rubles ($2,650). Meanwhile, domestic tours rose in price by 5.6% to an average of 72,800 rubles ($905).
Egypt and the UAE saw significant increases in bookings, by 69.5% and 45.8% respectively. The average cost of trips to Egypt during the November holidays fell by 6.8% to 189,900 rubles ($2,360). Turkey also recorded a 25.3% rise in bookings, while destinations like Vietnam, China, and the Maldives experienced multi-fold growth in interest. Overall bookings for the holiday period rose by 40% compared to 2024.
The strengthening of the ruble and the expansion of air routes have led to a more affordable November for Russian holidaymakers. Despite a slight increase in domestic tour prices, overseas tours have become more accessible, with Egypt and the UAE leading the way in both affordability and popularity.
