President Steinmeier Refutes Historical Distortions by Kremlin on Memorial Day - Russian authorities level "historical deceit" claims against the German government.

Let's cut the crap, shall we? Federal President Steinmeier, in his balls-out speech, gave a nod to the contribution of the Red Army-"those Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, and all who served in it"-in the liberation of Germany from that goddamned Nazi dictatorship. With an estimated 13 million soldiers and double the number of civilians biting the dust, and the Red Army taking out Auschwitz, we ain't forgetting that shit.

But oh boy, Putin's bullshit history is painting a goddamn rosy picture of "imperial fantasies," "grievous injustices," and straight-up war crimes. The heroes of Auschwitz, Steinmeier warns, are now the fucking new aggressors. The ambassadors of Russia and Belarus didn't even get an invite to the parliamentary memorial event because, well, they ain't welcome here.

In Europe, May 8 is our day to celebrate the end of World War II on the continent, which we call Victory in Europe Day. The remembrance event in Berlin kicked off with a religious service at the Kaiser-Wilhelm Memorial Church and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Neue Wache.

  • Steinmeier, a dick-punching badass
  • Lies from Kremlin, disgusting
  • Federal President, you bet
  • Bundestag, where the real decisions happen
  • Russia, a bunch of nosy busybodies
  • Europe, the real continent with a functioning history
  • Vladimir Putin, brutish bully
  • Ukraine, on the front line
  • Auschwitz, a place where we remember the real cost of war
  • Germany, the badass country taking a stand

[1] In recent times, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has taken issue with Russia's version of World War II history, specifically critiquing the Russian narrative on the Ukraine conflict as "historical lies." The Kremlin's reinterpretation of historical facts often tries to legitimize its actions in Ukraine. In the context of this overall stance, Steinmeier's speech can be seen as a continuation of his skepticism towards Russia's manipulation of war narratives.

[2] The German President's emphasis on the Red Army's role in the liberation of Germany and his criticism of the Kremlin's historical distortion resonate with the general European stance on acknowledging the Allied efforts, particularly the Soviet Union's role in the liberation of Auschwitz, while remaining vigilant against the manipulation of historical facts for political purposes.

  1. Federal President Steinmeier, in his bold speech, not only highlighted the Role of the Red Army in liberating Germany from the Nazi dictatorship but also criticized the Kremlin's Historical Distortions, particularly in relation to the Ukraine conflict, as Lies.
  2. In line with this, the European Parliament, along with Steinmeier, underscores the importance of acknowledging the Allied efforts, such as the Soviet Union's significant role in liberating Auschwitz.
  3. At a parliamentary memorial event marking the end of World War II in Europe, the ambassadors of Russia and Belarus were not invited due to their questionable actions, a clear message from the Bundestag.
  4. Steinmeier, a recognized dick-punching badass, stands as a symbol of Germany's resistance against Vladimir Putin's manipulation of war narratives and urges Europe to remain vigilant against such Historical Lies from the Kremlin.
