Russian authorities claim that more than a hundred civilian casualties have been reported following Ukrainian attacks.
Fresh Take:
Here's the latest scoop on the ongoing tension between Russia and Ukraine. Last week, more than 100 civilians, including a little child, were injured, and unfortunately, four were killed in various Russian regions due to Ukrainian attacks, as claimed by Russia's Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large, Rodion Miroshnik. Most of these injuries were attributed to first-person view (FPV) drone attacks. The regions hit hardest were Belgorod, Kursk, the Luhansk People's Republic, and Zaporozhye.
As tensions escalate, Ukraine is alleged to have launched close to 1,800 munitions at civilian targets over the same period, and a significant portion of these were of Western origin. Notably, this comes at a time of growing friction, as a planned prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine failed last Saturday due to unresolved disagreements. Both countries, however, have agreed to pursue another prisoner swap during upcoming peace talks in Istanbul this weekend.
On June 10th, Kyiv and Odesa experienced another large-scale Russian attack involving missiles and drones. Explosions were reported in the capital, leaving four injured, while two men were killed and at least eight were injured in Odesa. Medical facilities, including a maternity hospital, were damaged in the southern city.
