Ukrainian authorities reported that the Russian army attacked several districts within the Dnipropetrovsk region on May 26, causing injuries and significant damage to residential buildings and vehicles.

According to Serhii Lysak, the head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, the Mezhova hromada in the Synelnykove district was targeted with a UAV, injuring three individuals and causing fires to two cars and damage to another, as well as destruction at an agricultural business.

In addition, the Zelenodolsk hromada in the Kryvyi Rih district was shelled with artillery, causing damage to solar panels. Furthermore, heavy artillery and drones were used to attack the Nikopol district, with the cities of Nikopol, Marhanets, and Pokrovsk, as well as other hromadas, sustaining damage.

Damage was reported to include infrastructure, a nine-story building, a house, and two cars. These attacks followed a wave of large-scale air and drone strikes across the country, which led to fires and damaged residential buildings and vehicles in various locations.

Local authorities noted that this was only a part of a broader series of Russian strikes that targeted major cities and regions across Ukraine on May 25 and 26, with Dnipropetrovsk Oblast experiencing some of the most significant impact during this period.
