Russia proposes to bar Kellogg from peace negotiations.

"Got a bone to pick, Rubio?" - Russia calls for Kellogg's exclusion from Ukraine peace talks

Russia proposes to bar Kellogg from peace negotiations.

Got a hunch you may have missed Kellogg at the negotiating table? Well, it seems Vlad Putin's got a beef with the butt-buddy of Ukraine.

Sources close to the US government have spilled the beans about Putin's concern that Kellogg's warm and fuzzy attitude towards the little brother next door could hinder peace talks. NBC News reported this, quoting a top-dog Russian official who confirmed Putin's unease at the thought of Kellogg in the mix.

In recent events, Kellogg's absence was noticeable during talks such as the powwow between US national security advisor Mike Waltz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio with a Ukrainian delegation in Saudi Arabia last Tuesday. And, his no-show at a high-level meeting with the Russkies in the same country back in February.

Say it ain't so, Kellogg!

Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin claimed Kellogg ain't the cream of the crop, too friendly for the Ukraine crew, according to a Although this Russian official was privy to the Kremlin's thinking, they weren't entitled to spill the beans in public. A US official from Trump's administration - also can't talk publicly - confirmed the Kremlin's stance.

A mule-headed approach!

After slapping Ukraine with a temporary halt in military assistance and intel, Kellogg explained that the Ukrainian tugboat's own stupor brought about the beating. "Let me break it down for ya," Kellogg said at a shindig hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations, "It's like whackin' a mule with a 2x4 - they're finally gettin' the message."

In November, Trump tapped Kellogg as the special envoy for Ukraine and Russia. He's been riding shotgun with Trump since the start, serving as a defense advisor to the former vice president, Mike Pence. According to Trump, they'll work together to make America and the world safe once more. Kellogg had suggested a rough-and-tumble "America first" policy to end the war in April.

  • The Commission, consulted on the draft directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation, may find itself mediating between the ongoing diplomatic tensions between Russia and Ukraine, given Kellogg's involvement as the special envoy for both nations.
  • Vlad Putin's opposition to Kellogg's participation in peace talks may have contributed to the alleged chilly reception Kellogg has received at high-level meetings with Russian officials, such as the one held in Saudi Arabia in February.
  • In light of Putin's concern about Kellogg's perceived pro-Ukraine stance, the chances of a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine may hinge on whether Kellogg can navigate the complex diplomatic landscape and convince Putin to agree to a peaceful resolution, as suggested in the America first policy Kellogg proposed in April.
