Russia did not breach Estonian airspace territory.

In recent days, tensions have escalated in the Baltic region as numerous incidents involving Russian news and jets have occurred.

Last week, more than 20 Russian drones were reported to have entered Polish airspace, causing concern among local authorities. This incident followed another incident where Russian jets, as reported by Estonia's army, entered Estonia's airspace without permission near Vaindloo.

The Russian government has denied Estonia's claim, stating that the flight was conducted in compliance with international airspace rules. However, the details of the incident remain unclear. The statements from Moscow could not be independently verified.

On Friday morning, Estonia's army reported another violation of its airspace by three Russian jets. The jets stayed in Estonia's airspace for a total of 12 minutes. Similarly, on Friday evening, two Russian jets approached a Polish oil platform in the Baltic Sea, flying over the Petrobaltic platform at a low altitude of 150 meters.

These actions, while not directly breaching sovereign airspace, have violated the safety zones around both platforms. The Russian government has maintained that it conducted a low-altitude flight with two jets approximately 150 meters over the Polish oil platform, informing Polish forces and authorities of the incident.

In response to these incidents, Estonia has requested consultations under Article 4 of the NATO treaty, which provides for consultations with allies if a NATO country feels threatened from the outside. Following the incidents, NATO intercepted the Russian aircraft.

Typically, NATO jets are scrambled to escort other jets out of the airspace when such violations occur. However, the details of the interception maneuver remain unclear.

As tensions continue to rise, it is crucial for all parties involved to maintain open lines of communication and adhere to international norms and regulations to avoid any potential escalation.
