Russia Develops Long-Range Glide Bombs to Strike Deep Into Ukraine
Russia is working on long-range glide bombs that could reach key targets in central Ukraine, including Kyiv, Kremenchuk, and Kryvyi Rih. The Tactical Missiles Corporation (KTRV) is leading this development, aiming to overcome technological hurdles for affordable mass production and accurate guidance in Ukraine.
The project faces three main challenges: creating affordable jet boosters for mass production, designing simple and serial-produced glide and correction modules, and refining guidance systems for extended ranges in Ukraine. Military analyst Sergei Poletayev has identified railway hubs, bridges, and road interchanges as top priority targets for these guided aerial bombs in Ukraine. If successful, these bombs would significantly enhance Russia's striking capabilities in Ukraine.
The Tactical Missiles Corporation is actively developing long-range glide bombs to bolster Russia's military reach in Ukraine. Overcoming the identified technological hurdles will determine the success of this project, which could potentially alter the course of the conflict in Ukraine.
