Russia boosts holiday travel with new Black Sea resort trains
Russian Railways has added extra trains to popular Black Sea resorts for the February and March holiday weekends. The new services will connect Rostov-on-Don with destinations in Krasnodar Region, including Anapa and Rosa Khutor.
Over these periods, more than 4,300 regular and additional long-distance trains will operate across the country.
Two new routes have been introduced specifically for the extended February break. Train No. 599/600 will run between Rostov-Glavny and Rosa Khutor, departing on February 20 at 9:45 p.m. The return service leaves Rosa Khutor on February 23 at 7:47 p.m.
Another train, No. 443/444, will connect Moscow to Anapa via Rostov-on-Don. It departs Rostov-on-Don on February 21 at 2:57 a.m. and returns from Anapa the following day at 10:40 a.m.
In total, Russian Railways will run 2,200 long-distance trains from February 20–23 and 2,100 from March 6–9. Some of these services will cover Krasnodar Region's coastal destinations, though no further details on additional routes beyond this region have been announced.
The extra trains aim to meet increased travel demand during the holiday weekends. Passengers heading to the Black Sea resorts now have more options, with departures scheduled late at night or early in the morning. No further expansions to other regions have been confirmed for these dates.
