Russia allegedly lacks the might for a significant military assault, as asserted by Zelensky.

In the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the situation remains critical, particularly in the Donetsk region, with fighting ongoing at Pokrovsk, Dobropillia, and the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region in Nowopawliwka. According to Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksiy Syrsky, these areas are currently under intense pressure.

To bolster Ukraine's defences, a significant financial aid package is on the horizon. The countries that have pledged support for the delivery of rockets for the Patriot and HIMARS air defense systems to Ukraine amount to more than 3.6 billion US dollars so far. The majority of this funding comes from the United States, with several European NATO countries contributing as partners in a coordinated effort. This aid is facilitated through the NATO mechanism known as the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL).

The first two packages, each worth 500 million US dollars, are expected to be delivered in the near future. These packages will include missiles for the Patriot and HIMARS systems, which are crucial for Ukraine's air defence capabilities.

Ukraine has already received over two billion US dollars from its partners through the PURL mechanism, with the total expected funding amounting to approximately 3.6 billion US dollars. President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Russia is currently unable to launch another major offensive in its war against Ukraine, citing heavy losses, particularly in personnel, as a key factor.

The operation in the Sumy region has already failed, according to Zelensky, with Russia suffering significant losses. The Ukrainian military has inflicted even greater losses on Russia in this operation. Zelensky stated that Russia had prepared offensive operations along four main axes this year: Sumy, Nowopawliwka, Pokrovsk, and Saporizhzhia.

Looking ahead, Ukraine anticipates further funds in October, bringing the total amount to around 3.6 billion US dollars. This aid is expected to be delivered through the NATO mechanism PURL, providing Ukraine with much-needed support in its ongoing battle against Russia.
