Russia advises prudence in nuclear discourse following Trump's submarine command

In response to recent nuclear rhetoric between Russia and the United States, the Kremlin has called for caution and restraint. Spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that all parties should exercise "extreme caution" with nuclear rhetoric to avoid escalation.

The Kremlin's stance comes after provocative statements from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who warned the U.S. about Russia’s nuclear capabilities amid diplomatic tensions over Ukraine ceasefire talks. Despite these exchanges, the Kremlin's message is to reduce inflammatory discourse and avoid escalating the nuclear rhetoric.

According to Mr. Peskov, Russia remains committed to nuclear non-proliferation and has no desire to escalate tensions. He stated that routine military postures like U.S. submarine deployments do not provoke a change in Russia’s actions.

In regards to the movement of two US nuclear submarines to "the appropriate regions," as stated by President Donald Trump, Mr. Peskov confirmed that US submarines are already on combat duty. However, he did not provide any specific information about the ongoing nuclear rhetoric or the movement of US submarines.

The Kremlin's position on foreign policy is formulated by President Putin, as Mr. Peskov emphasized. The Kremlin does not want to get involved in the controversy surrounding the nuclear rhetoric, a stance that remains unchanged according to Mr. Peskov's statements.

Mr. Peskov also mentioned that there are differences in opinions and attitudes among members of leadership in various countries. He did not comment on the situation in any way, according to his earlier statements.

The Kremlin believes everyone should be very careful with nuclear rhetoric, and this call for caution underscores their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in international relations.
