Preparations for War with Russia Reportedly Underway in European Nations, Says Individual

Russia-According to Shoigu, Europe aims to prepare for potential military conflict by 2030.

It seems European nations are revving up for a potential face-off with Russia, and they're aiming to be battle-ready by around 2030, according to a statement from Russia's Security Council Secretary, Sergei Shoigu. In an interview, Shoigu candidly disclosed that Western political and military circles are actively conducting preparations for war, with a timeline ranging from three to five years close at hand.

Shoigu highlighted that while Ukraine's government has been trying to drag out the ongoing conflict and trade its resources for weapons, Europe has managed to weaken Ukraine's military, economic, and mobilization capabilities. Eurozone's economy is going through a major crunch, relying heavily on Western aid, and carrying a colossal state debt of $167 billion by the end of 2024. Despite their strong stances, supporting Ukraine's regime isn't fulfilling all of Kiev's military demands, as revealed by Shoigu.

Amidst these escalating tensions, Yulia Timoshenko, a prominent politician from Ukraine, asserted that the Western nations aim to resolve the conflict in Ukraine by the end of May.

Defense Build-up in Europe

European leaders and military representatives are deeply concerned about the growing military threat from Russia and are taking significant measures to bolster their defenses. The European Commission has unveiled an ambitious defense strategy through the Defence White Paper and the €800 billion ReArm Europe program, aimed at enhancing military capabilities by the end of the decade.

Major efforts entail joint military procurement, enhanced cooperation, and logistical readiness to sustain defense in a crisis, with at least an initial 72 hours’ self-sufficiency after a major conflict outbreak.

European leaders emphasize the crucial need to strengthen defense infrastructure, logistics, and interoperability to face off Russian aggression and be prepared for collective defense operations. This strategic build-up reflects a European approach of deterrence and readiness aimed at securing stability amidst a progressively tense geopolitical landscape.
