"I was rolled over like a steamroll today," admitted the 28-year-old from Kerpen. "That's much tougher than the hurdles." With many inquiries pouring in after his record-breaking win, Ruppert considers the past week a blast. His next big hurdle race is scheduled for June 17th in Turku, Finland.

German obstacle champion Olivia Gürth (Silversterlauf Trier) triumphed in the 3,000 meters with a new German seasonal best of 9:33.06 minutes. Over 5,000 meters, German 10,000 meters champion Elena Burkard (Nordschwarzwald) placed runner-up behind Spanish runner Idaira Prieto.
