Runoff Election Voting Underway: Here's What You Need to Know

Voting is underway for the runoff election, with polls open until Sunday, 28 September. Residents can vote using their ID or passport at polling stations, which remain the same as the municipal election. Postal voting replacement documents are available until 27 September, 12 pm.

For assistance, contact the electoral office via telephone hotline 0201 88-12345 or online at www.our website/kommunalwahlen. The notification letter received for the 14 September 2025 election is valid for the runoff election. Voting envelopes can be placed in letter boxes at the town hall or electoral office until 28 September, 4 pm. Sudden illness voting is also available until 28 September, 3 pm.

The electoral office, located at Kopstadtplatz 10, is open until 27 September, 12 pm for postal voting replacement documents. The mayor and election officer, Ulrike Drossel, chairs the electoral office and will moderate the public election event on 14 September 2025 in the Emschersaal of the town hall.

Voting for the runoff election closes on Sunday, 28 September, at 4 pm. Ensure your voice is heard and use the provided resources for any election-related queries.
