By paying an additional 5 euros per start place when registering their team, participants can support the construction of drinking water stations in local Hamburg neighborhoods. This initiative aims to directly improve access to clean drinking water, addressing basic needs and promoting community well-being.
Participants who choose to become Charity-Starters will reap benefits beyond just running the event. The B2Run Hamburg event is collaborating with the Menschen für Menschen foundation for a tree-planting initiative. For each registered team, a tree will be planted in the Kawo Koysha project area, located in the Walayata-Sodo zone of the Southern Ethiopia region. This reforestation activity is part of a larger goal to plant 12,500 trees throughout the entire B2Run season.
The event is not just about running and charity. After the run, there will be an award ceremony and a lively get-together at the B2Run Village. The largest charity team will receive an additional certificate as charity winner during the award ceremony and have the opportunity to give the official start signal for a starting wave. Company logos of charity starters will be part of the "We say thank you" graphic on the B2Run website and at the event.
Whether a beginner or an ambitious hobby runner, everyone is welcome at the B2Run Hamburg event. The finish line of the event is located at the legendary Volksparkstadion, where runners will start in several waves at 5 PM. Charity starting positions can be booked by August 27, 2025.
