Running and Consuming Beer - Faro's Beer Race

Parque Ribeirinho in Faro, Algarve, Portugal will host the Beer Run Faro on August 15, 2025. This one-mile race, organized by Free Challenge - Associação Desportiva e Socio-Cultural, combines athletic challenge with beer consumption, promising a unique and social race experience.

The race starts at 9:00 PM and participants can choose to run individually or in teams of four. However, it's important to note that participants must be over 18 years of age to register.

Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beers will be available for participation, but there's a catch. Those who choose non-alcoholic beer will not qualify for classification or prizes. Each participant must finish their beer before starting the subsequent lap. Failure to do so, or if any team member in a relay team fails, will result in disqualification.

The registration form can be found on the Free Challenge website (https://freechallenge.pt/beer-run-faro) and will remain open until August 11, 2025. Each registration includes a race bib, technical t-shirt, one Marafada craft beer, sponsorship gifts, medical assistance, and insurance.

The race consists of four laps, each of 402 metres, making a total of one mile. Each participant must consume a medium-sized beer (33 cl) before each lap during the race, totaling four beers.

So, are you ready to combine running and beer drinking in a fun and social atmosphere? Register now for the Beer Run Faro 2025 and get ready for an unforgettable experience!
