Runaway white horse escapes twice in one week, baffling German police

A white horse caused a stir in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern after escaping its enclosure twice in one week. The first incident occurred on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, when it was spotted wandering between Mallin and Passentin. Police later returned the animal safely to its owner, but the same horse bolted again—this time with a brown companion in tow.

The first escape took place around midday on Tuesday, November 25. The white horse was seen roaming freely between the villages of Mallin and Passentin. Officers from Penzlin police tracked it down and handed it back to its owner without incident.

The repeated escapes of the white horse have kept local police busy, though both incidents ended without harm. The sheep sightings, however, remain unresolved, as the animals were gone before officers could intervene. Authorities have not reported further details on the missing livestock.
