Rumor of Red Bull Acquisition Circulating

In the heart of the Pyrenees, the Red Bull team is gearing up for the challenging mountain stages of the Tour de France. Team boss Ralph Denk has expressed his confidence in both Florian Lipowitz and Primoz Roglic, with the latter being the main contender for the General Classification (GC).

Denk views Lipowitz as an essential support rider for Roglic during the mountain stages. However, he believes it would not be prudent for Lipowitz to harbour GC ambitions at this Tour. Despite Lipowitz's impressive form, showcased by his breakthrough performance at the 2025 Criterium du Dauphiné, the team leadership remains firmly with Roglic.

Lipowitz's role is primarily that of a key domestique, helping Roglic rather than pursuing a top overall position himself. This was evident in the Vuelta a España last season, where Lipowitz played a crucial role in supporting Roglic's eventual victory.

Roglic, who has faced some mechanical issues on the course, remains focused on winning stages and overall mountain performance. Despite a derailleur problem on stage 4 that affected his time, the team is not revising Roglic’s podium ambitions prematurely and remains confident in his chances. They believe support from riders like Lipowitz will be crucial in the mountain stages.

On Tuesday, Lipowitz and Roglic will climb 3,850 meters over 180.6 kilometers to the finish line in Hautacam. The upcoming stages, particularly those involving climbing, are preferred terrain for both riders. The team is currently in a comfortable position with two riders in the top ten of the Tour de France standings.

Denk is pleased with the performances of both Lipowitz and Roglic so far in the Tour de France. Lipowitz's sixth-place finish in the time trial in Caen has particularly impressed Denk and boosted his self-confidence.

The team's more cautious approach in the initial stages has proven successful, as they have avoided crashes, a concern for Roglic, who crashed out of the Giro d'Italia at the end of May. Denk defends this defensive racing strategy used by the Red Bull team in the first 11 stages of the Tour de France.

As the Tour de France enters the mountain stages, the Red Bull team will be closely watching the performances of their top riders. While Roglic is the main man, the team is aware that if things do not go well, they will have to discuss the team's strategy. However, for now, they are focusing on the upcoming stages, hoping to maintain their current position and support Roglic in his bid for the podium.

Sports such as cycling and other sports continue to be of great importance to Team Red Bull, as they prepare for the challenging mountain stages of the Tour de France. In spite of Lipowitz's impressive form and his critical support role during the mountain stages, Roglic remains the main contender for the General Classification (GC) within the sports arena.
