Rumors of Pakistan's former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, meeting an untimely demise in custody have been flying thick and fast recently. The fire was ignited when an old video resurfaced, depicting a visibly injured Khan being escorted by security personnel. However, this intriguing video, immersed in speculation, was first circulated in 2013, unrelated to the present scenario: Khan's fall from a forklift at a rally in Lahore.

The video, boosted by false press releases and speculative posts on social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter) and WhatsApp, fomented confusion. Multiple fact-checkers, endeavoring to separate truth from fiction, deemed these claims unverified misinformation.

The crux of this hoax was an apparent press release issued, purportedly by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announcing Khan's demise. Upon closer inspection, however, this document was exposed as fabricated by none other than an impersonator. The Pakistani Ministry of Information and Broadcasting swiftly issued a notice, dismissing the death announcement as fake and admonishing the public to shun such misinformation.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Khan's party, added their voice to the clarification, affirming that their leader remained alive and serving his sentence in Adiala Jail. The jail term stemmed from charges of corruption and involvement in an illegal case with Al-Qadir Trust, imposed upon him since 2023.

Independent fact-checkers and credible news sources concur that there's no substantiated evidence to support claims of Khan's death or murder in custody, despite the tense backdrop.

All's well that ends well, as the age-old saying goes. Imran Khan treads steadfastly through these trials and tribulations, alive and kicking today, regardless of the persistent rumors surrounding his wellbeing. Officially, there's no credible evidence to support the baseless allegations fabricated online.
