Daughter Rumer Describes Bruce Willis' Health Condition - Rumer Willis shares emotional update on Bruce Willis’ dementia journey

Bruce Willis' daughter Rumer has shared an update on her father's ongoing battle with dementia. The actor, who stepped back from Hollywood in 2022, now lives in a nearby home with a full-time care team. His family continues to visit and support him regularly.

Bruce Willis was first diagnosed with aphasia in early 2022, leading to his retirement from acting. By early 2023, doctors confirmed he had frontotemporal dementia, a condition affecting behaviour, language, and cognition.

His wife, Emma Heming-Willis, recently spoke about the decision for him to live separately with professional carers. She described it as the right choice, allowing her to 'just be his wife again' rather than a full-time caregiver. The family remains close, with frequent visits to his new home.

Rumer Willis, the actor’s eldest daughter, posted an emotional update on Instagram after visiting with her two-year-old daughter, Louetta. She expressed gratitude for still being able to hug her father, even if he doesn’t always recognise her. Though his condition is challenging, she sees 'a glimmer' of the man he once was. According to her, he is doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances.

Bruce Willis now receives 24-hour care in a home near his family. His loved ones continue to spend time with him, sharing moments despite the difficulties of his illness. The arrangement allows them to focus on their relationship rather than the demands of daily care.
