For more than a decade, the iconic voice of football on RTL, Marco Hagemann (48), won't be silenced any time soon! In a recent press statement, the station confirmed that our swashbuckling commentator has extended his contract for an undisclosed period, dashing any speculations about his farewell. Contrary to initial assumptions, this ain't a temporary gig; it's a long-haul voyage, as Hagemann himself put it.
With uncontainable excitement, he tucked a note under the pixels, "Here's to many more football fireworks at the RTL microphone in the upcoming years!" With assurances like that, football enthusiasts can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that Hagemann won't be abandoning ship any time soon, a voyage together with RTL that commenced in 2014.

In the meantime, RTL has procured more broadcasting rights for the Europa League, Conference League, and matches of the German national team. Marco Hagemann embarked on his TV career around 25 years ago at today's sports channel Sport1, first as a news editor, then as a commentator. After a ten-year stint at the pay-TV station Sky, where he covered games ranging from the Bundesliga to the Champions League, and offered expertise on tennis, he found his home at RTL in September 2014.
