Yet, it's not just a short-term gig, as the man himself revealed in a statement.
He gleefully shared his excitement about continuing to "witness and narrate countless football spectaculars through the RTL mic in the years ahead." Football enthusiasts can heave a sigh of relief, as Hagemann has no intention of abandoning his "shared football expedition with and at RTL," which began back in 2014.

In the interim, the private station has strengthened its broadcast rights, acquiring rights for the Europa League, Conference League, and matches for the German national team. Hagemann's next assignment will be on June 8, as part of the Nations League. The Decision Day game featuring German participation is slated for broadcast.
Marco Hagemann kicked off his television career around 25 years ago at the sport channel Sport1, initially as a news editor, later as a commentator. After a decade at the pay-TV station Sky, where he commented on games from the Bundesliga to the Champions League, and offered tennis analysis, he joined RTL in September 2014.
