RRB Group D Selection Procedure 2025: Insights into Computer-Based Tests, Physical Efficiency Tests, Document Verification, and Medical Examinations

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the RRB Group D Selection Process 2025 for various posts in the Indian Railways. Here's a breakdown of the selection process, including the Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

**Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)**

The first stage of the selection process is the CBT, an online exam that lasts for 90 minutes and carries 100 marks. The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections: Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness and Current Affairs.

Candidates with a benchmark disability of 40% or more (PwD) are given an additional 30 minutes to complete the test. The exam is generally conducted in English and other regional languages; in case of discrepancy, the English version prevails.

The minimum qualifying marks for the CBT vary depending on the candidate's category: UR and EWS categories require 40%, while OBC, SC, ST categories require 30%. The CBT score is normalized using percentile-based normalization to account for multiple shifts of the exam. Candidates who qualify in the CBT are eligible for the next stage, the PET.

**Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)**

The PET is a qualifying test to assess physical fitness. It involves physical tasks such as running, lifting weights, etc., to ensure candidates meet the fitness criteria required for the job. Candidates must qualify the PET to move to the next stage. No marks are awarded; only a pass/fail status is considered.

Male and female candidates must participate in the PET, except for those with a benchmark disability of 40% or more (PwD), who are exempted from the PET.

**Stage 3: Document Verification and Medical Examination**

Candidates who clear both CBT and PET are called for document verification to check the authenticity of certificates, educational qualifications, category certificates, etc. After document verification, candidates undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the medical standards prescribed for the job. This stage is also qualifying in nature.

Successful candidates after this stage are empaneled for appointment. The railway recruitment board verifies the candidate's eligibility, academic details, identity proof, and category certificates (if applicable) during this stage.

In conclusion, the RRB Group D Selection Process 2025 involves three key stages: the Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Document Verification (DV) and Medical Test. Candidates are advised to prepare well for each stage to increase their chances of selection for the RRB Group D positions.
