In a heartwarming turn of events, Princess Anne (74), a year after her unfortunate riding accident, graced the "Trooping the Colour" parade on horseback. She galloped alongside her sibling, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh (61), and Prince William (42). Notably, King Charles III. (76) and Queen Camilla (77), along with Princess Kate (43) and her brood, arrived at the palace in a carriage.
At King Charles' birthday festivities, Anne donned the uniform of the "Blues and Royals," a distinguished cavalry regiment of the British Army. The media outlet, "Mirror," revealed that the sibling of King Charles held the traditional position of "Gold Stick in Waiting" – a role dating back to the Tudor era, originally responsible for protecting the monarch. Interestingly, Anne's mount, Noble, was recently ridden by King Charles himself in 2023.
Anne's Momentous Return
This horseback appearance was a significant moment in Princess Anne's life. Since her accident in June 2024 at Gatcombe Park, she had refrained from equestrian pursuits. The mishap led to a mild concussion and minor head injuries, causing her a brief hospital stay at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
At a horse event a month later, Anne candidly shared she "couldn't remember anything" about the accident. She also disclosed that her hospital stint was a blank slate, as she recounted during a February visit. "The medical staff filled in the gaps, which I am thankful for," Anne expressed. "As I only have vague recollections, their accounts are immensely valuable."
