Royal Butler Claims Relaxed Display from Kate Middleton Toward Staff Members

In a revealing memoir, Grant Harrold, a former butler to King Charles, shares never-before-heard stories about his time serving the Royal Family. Harrold worked for the monarch from 2004 to 2011, during which he had the privilege of observing the behaviour of the future Queen Consort, Kate Middleton.

During her visits to Highgrove House, Middleton was known for her kind interactions with staff members. She would often greet them first and engage in casual conversations in the kitchen. According to Harrold, this demonstrated her approachable and easy-going demeanour.

In contrast to the formality often associated with the Royal Family, Middleton and her husband, Prince William, have been moving away from such traditions. This is evident in their private interactions, as well as in their efforts to provide a happy and ordinary upbringing for their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The couple signs off messages with their initials 'W' and 'C', a departure from the more formal 'HRH' used by other members of the Royal Family. This informality extends to their home life, as a source close to Middleton claimed in 2020 that there are no airs and graces when visiting her home.

Harrold described Middleton as very down-to-earth, with a sweet and lovely way about her. He also mentioned that she never saw herself as better than anyone else, as indicated by her interactions with staff members. This down-to-earth approach is further reinforced by Middleton's public persona, where she is often perceived as graceful, calm, and kind.

One of the most striking aspects of Middleton's behaviour is her willingness to hug people during engagements and visits. This act, while small, speaks volumes about her approachable and easy-going demeanour.

Early in her relationship with the Prince of Wales, Middleton's position in the royal line of succession made her an important person. However, her actions suggest that she has remained grounded, choosing to focus on her family and her interactions with those around her.

The Wales family currently resides at Adelaide Cottage and are soon to move to Forest Lodge, which might become their "forever home". Regardless of where they live, it is clear that Middleton's kindness, approachability, and down-to-earth nature will continue to shine through.
