Informal Take on Mirko "Gogo" Jäger's Musical Adventures

The Man Behind the Drums, Mirko Jäger, Has Played More Gigs Than He Can Count

This badass drummer has been rocking stages since 1994, and he doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. Known as "Gogo" to his pals and fans, Mirko Jäger is a founding member of the infamous punk band "Fencepost." Although that band disbanded, he's still shaking things up with his new crew, "Normalbad." Guess who's on the drums? You got it - the unstoppable Mirko Jäger! He's all hyped up about an upcoming gig on June 13th and 14th in Dahmen.

Regional Rockstars Unite

One reason he can't wait for the show is the spectacular view he'll get during the performance - directly facing the Malchiner See. There, "Normalbad" will be throwing a bash like no other, celebrating their first birthday over two days with plenty of support. The festival will bring together almost every notable act from the region, featuring "Vietsmorgen," "Sisterheart," "Irremurxx," "Soy Jack," and two bands all the way from Berlin.

Support From the Community

"Normalbad" isn't just planning a massive first birthday bash; they've got bigger plans. Mirko explains, "There aren't many opportunities for musicians in this area to perform. Many clubs have shut down. We want to establish a festival here in Dahmen that will keep going for years to come." The local community and the campsite operator are fully backing this initiative. Tickets for the two-day event can be snagged at various locations, including the Tabakgeschäft Kubicka in Malchin, the Barocktikum in Güstrow, and the Teterower Getränkeland. You can also grab them at the box office.

A Pawsome Charity Event

Along with the music, the organizers have set up a charity event for animal protection. A tattoo artist will be on site, and every tattoo will raise money for animal welfare. The organizers are expecting around 500 guests for the festival's opening act. Mirko hopes that ticket sales will reach this number, and they'll all have an unforgettable time filled with music and incredible people in this picturesque spot.

Gogo's excitement for the upcoming gig on June 13th and 14th in Dahmen isn't just due to his own performance with Normalbad, but also because it will be a regional music extravaganza, featuring renowned acts like Vietsmorgen, Sisterheart, Irremurxx, Soy Jack, and two bands from Berlin. Additionally, the event will include a charity focus on animal protection, with a tattoo artist raising funds for animal welfare on site.
