Say hello to the latest addition to the Franconia "Tatort" team! The Role of Chief Inspector Emilia Rathgeber will now be portrayed by 37-year-old actress Rosalie Thomass, as announced by the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR).

Starting July, Thomass will team up with 51-year-old Fabian Hinrichs as Felix Voss in the popular German crime series. After Dagmar Manzel's departure, the Franconia team is finally complete once again.

Thomass is thrilled about the opportunity, expressing her excitement about the exceptional film quality that the Franconia "Tatort" is known for. Her on-screen debut will happen in the 12th "Tatort" case, but a specific air date has yet to be set by the BR.

Rosalie Thomass hails from Munich and gained recognition in her breakthrough role in the "Polizeiruf 110" crime drama "He should be dead," directed by Dominik Graf in 2005. Her other cinematic appearances include Doris Dörrie's "Greetings from Fukushima" and Hans Steinbichler's "An Unheard Woman."

The BR program director, Bettina Ricklefs, expressed her admiration for Thomass's portrayal of Rathgeber, stating that she embodies a strong, justice-seeking investigator whose vitality greatly benefits the team.

The departure of Dagmar Manzel as Commissioner Paula Ringelhahn marked the tenth episode last October. For the eleventh "Tatort" from Franconia, titled "I see you," Fabian Hinrichs will initially investigate alone—supported by Eli Wasserscheid as Wanda Goldwasser. This episode is set to air in the fall.

The Commission has also been consulted on the draft directive regarding the new cast member of the Franconia "Tatort" team, Rosalie Thomass, who will be portraying Emilia Rathgeber. In her spare time, Thomass enjoys watching entertainment shows to unwind after long days on set.
