Milwaukee Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski Placed on 15-Day Injured List

Jacob Misiorowski, the promising rookie pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, has been placed on the 15-day injured list due to a left tibia contusion (shin bruise). The injury occurred during the Brewers' first game against the Chicago Cubs on July 28, when he was hit on the left shin by a comebacker.

Despite the injury, Misiorowski managed to pitch for three innings in that game and struck out seven, contributing to the Brewers' 8-4 win. However, he later experienced knee instability and has since been sidelined to recover.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy has expressed confidence in Misiorowski's recovery, stating that he does not expect the recovery to exceed the allotted time on the injured list. This means that Misiorowski's earliest expected return would be around August 15, 2025, which aligns with the Brewers’ series opener against the Cincinnati Reds.

In the meantime, the Brewers have called up RHP Logan Henderson from Triple-A Nashville to take Misiorowski's place on the roster. Henderson made his first MLB start since May and pitched four scoreless innings in the Brewers' 14-3 win over the Washington Nationals, striking out four.

With Misiorowski on the injured list, the starting pitcher for the first game in Atlanta against the Braves has not been specified. The series follows the Brewers' weekend series sweep over the Nationals in DC. The first pitch for game one is set for Monday at 6:15 p.m. at Truist Park in Atlanta.

Despite the setback, the Brewers are optimistic about Misiorowski's future potential. Murphy stated that they want to be cautious with Misiorowski, given his impressive performance this season with a 2.70 ERA and a high strikeout rate. The injury timing may also help the Brewers manage Misiorowski's workload, as he had already pitched nearly as many innings this season as the previous year, reducing the risk of overuse late in the season.

After recovering from his injury, Misiorowski will return to pitch for the Brewers, eager to continue his impressive performance and contribute to the team's success in the competitive division race.

Jacob Misiorowski's injury, sustained while playing baseball for the Milwaukee Brewers, has temporarily moved him from major league baseball (MLB) to the 15-day injured list. Upon recovery, he is expected to return to MLB pitches for the Brewers, showcasing his promising sports career.
