Ronnie O'Sullivan Takes On Brand Representative Role for Wynn Macau Limited
Wynn Resorts Expands Horizons with Ronnie O'Sullivan as Brand Ambassador
Wynn Resorts, the global hospitality giant, is making waves in the gaming industry with its latest moves. After securing the first gaming license in the UAE on the 8th of October, 2024, the company is now considering expansion in Thailand, following a significant $900 million investment in the UAE, announced on the 9th of May, 2024.
In a bid to promote and expand the popularity of snooker, Wynn Resorts has also entered into a partnership with seven-time World Snooker Champion, Ronnie O'Sullivan. The announcement was made during a press conference, where O'Sullivan was officially named the new "Wynn Brand Ambassador."
O'Sullivan, widely recognised for his achievements and ambassador roles specifically within snooker, has previously participated in Wynn-organised snooker events. He was a part of the 2023 Macau Snooker Masters and the Snooker Legend and Rising Star Exhibition Game. In December, he will debut as the Wynn Brand Ambassador, competing against eight of the world's top players in an exhibition match.
Wynn Macau, a luxury resort and casino located on the Macau Peninsula in China, will be the host for many of these events. The resort, part of Wynn Resorts, houses over 600 guest rooms and suites and is known for attractions like the Tree of Prosperity and Dragon of Fortune shows.
However, it's worth noting that Ronnie O'Sullivan's ambassador partnerships are focused on snooker rather than poker. Despite his significant ambassadorship roles in snooker, including an exclusive deal with Eurosport to promote snooker internationally, there is no evidence to suggest that he has official ties to the poker industry as a brand ambassador.
In a recent development, a Wynn Ladies Event ended in a 15-way tie, causing controversy and debate in the snooker community on the 25th of June, 2024. The outcome of this event underscores Wynn Resorts' commitment to promoting and nurturing talent in the sport of snooker.
With its expansion plans in Thailand and a strong focus on snooker with Ronnie O'Sullivan as the brand ambassador, Wynn Resorts is poised to make a significant impact in the gaming industry.
At the luxury resort and casino, Wynn Macau, sports events such as snooker tournaments will likely continue to be hosted, given Wynn Resorts' focus on expanding its snooker endeavors, as demonstrated by their partnership with sports personality Ronnie O'Sullivan. Despite his extensive involvement in snooker, there's no indication that O'Sullivan holds brand ambassador roles in the sports sector outside of snooker, specifically poker.
