Romantic Tunes: Love Melodies at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf
The Düsseldorf Schauspiel students have been enchanting audiences with their latest performance, titled "There's a Roller Coaster in My Head." This love revue, inspired by a song by show professional Helene Fischer, has been a hit, with tickets still available for performances on January 1st and February 6th.
The evening at the Small House on Düsseldorf's Gründgens-Platz was a great joy, as the students showcased their talents in a performance that was intense, funny, melancholic, and glamorous.
Orlando Lenzen, Michael Fünfschilling, Sarah Steinbach, Elias Nagel, Charlie Schülke, Luise Zieger, Roman Wieland, and Jule Schuck were among the students who shone in the production.
Lenzen, in particular, displayed passion and comedic talent as the queer "Gutter Princess" from a song by Tim Fischer. Zieger captivated audiences with a dark erotic fantasy by Georgette Dee called "On the train to Paris."
Fünfschilling brought humor to Georg Kreisler's "Love Letter," while Steinbach mastered the poetic angularity of Herbert Grönemeyer's lyrics. Wieland interpreted something heartwarming from the Hamburg band Kante, and Nagel expressed his affection for heavy Franconian dishes, sausages, and dumplings, and beer.
Classics by Cole Porter ("I get a kick") and Jacques Brel ("Ne me quitte pas") were performed in German, adding a unique twist to the well-known songs. The performance concluded with a comforting encore, sung by Gerhard Gundermann.
Jule Schuck and Charlie Schülke demanded great emotions with their performances, leaving audiences breathless. A hint of melancholy was present in the performance, as indicated by Tristan Brusch's song.
Matt Johan Leenders, musical director and pianist, had control of the show, ensuring a seamless transition between each act.
Tickets for the upcoming performances can be purchased on the website www.dhaus.de. Unfortunately, the director of the revue was not explicitly mentioned in the provided search results.
This love revue by the Düsseldorf Schauspiel students is not to be missed, so secure your tickets now for an evening of unforgettable entertainment!
