Sorin Grindeanu stated that PSD's decision to join the coalition was a result of a broad internal consultation, where over 70% of roughly 5,000 members backed the move. Dominic Fritz, meanwhile, underscored USR's intent to rebuild public trust in democratic institutions and emphasized the importance of firm decisions directed towards eliminating extremism and restoring stability. UDMR leader Kelemen Hunor characterized this assembly as the most complex coalition in Romania in the past 25 years, emphasizing the need for serious reforms and a leaner, fairer state.
