Role Model We Admire: Asantehene, as stated.
Fresh Article:
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is a shining beacon for some of us in the judiciary, Chief Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah has remarked. On February 2, 2022, during a meeting at his office in Accra, the CJ commended Otumfuo for his fair handling of land disputes, reducing the judiciary's workload over the years.
"Ever since he sat on the Golden Stool, there were numerous land disputes clogging the courts. However, he made it abundantly clear that he wouldn't endorse chiefs involved in double land sales, and his efforts are nothing short of commendable. I sincerely hope more traditional rulers follow suit and continue to lend a hand to the judiciary," the CJ stated emphatically.
Justice Anin Yeboah was among the fifth recipients of a commemorative gold coin, bestowed upon him by Otumfuo.
The burden of land disputes in the courts is significant, according to the CJ.
"These issues aren't just a roadblock for investments in the country, but they hamper the national development progress, plain and simple. It's crucial we have someone fair-minded who can hastened the resolution of these disputes, and Otumfuo is just the man for the job!" he enthused.
The CJ also conveyed his gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him in receiving the gold coin.
Meanwhile, Otumfuo's peace-building endeavors were lauded by the CJ.
"Judiciary understands the essence of peace, for without it, the nation struggles to progress. Otumfuo's relentless efforts in quelling disputed areas, particularly Dagbon, deserve our utmost appreciation. We salute his efforts taking various aspects of the nation to a prosperous future, free of strife," the CJ said.
In the capacity of a pillar of peace, Otumfuo's leadership in conflict resolution has extended well beyond the Ashanti Kingdom. The delegation, led by Mr. Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori Atta, lauded his efforts in resolving the Dagbon conflict, Tano Subin towns dispute, KNUST crisis, and challenging political periods in Ghana.
"His invitation to the UN General Assembly High-Level Forum on the Culture of Peace speaks volumes about his role in fostering peace through traditional methods and cultural values. His influence goes far and wide, bringing stability, harmony, and prosperity to the nation," the delegation emphasized.
The Asantehene's peace initiatives transcend the Ashanti Kingdom, impacting Ghanaian society and politics at large.
