In the latest instalment of the ongoing struggle between Wachsenburg Haarhausen and FSV Graefenroda in the Football District Oberliga, Graefenroda emerged victorious once again, securing a thrilling 4-3 victory.

The match, which took place recently, saw Haarhausen take the lead through Alexander Klippstein, assisted by Yannic Dreßler (51'). However, Graefenroda responded swiftly with a double from Sascha Wolf (54', 58'). Max Reimann, Graefenroda's captain, expressed satisfaction with the win and their desire to secure more victories away from home.

Reimann also stated that they defended well against Haarhausen's comeback attempts. Graefenroda extended their lead with a goal from Greßler (65'). Haarhausen made a comeback, scoring twice in quick succession through Nils Luther (74') and Jonas Grulich (90'). Max Reimann scored a penalty for Graefenroda (75').

Wachsenburg coach Ronald Hennemann believes that they cannot explain why they cannot win against Graefenroda. Hennemann does not attribute their losing streak to superstition, but rather to their own mistakes. He also expressed concern over a potential foul by Haarhausen's Luther on Graefenroda's captain in the fourth minute of added time, which could have resulted in a penalty, remaining unclear.
