Rockin' Out with the Best in Bruckhausen

The playground at the primary school Am Dicken Stein in Bruckhausen is buzzing with excitement. The young crowd is gathered around Suppi Huhn, a famous children's singer. He's got 'em cheerin' and shoutin' out their favorite ice cream flavors. When one kid yells out "chocolate ice cream," Suppi launches into a pumped-up rendition, and the kids follow along, dancin' and singin' with gusto.

But this is just the beginning. A big concert is in the works for June 25th, 5 PM, at St. Albertus Magnus church in Bruckhausen. Along with the schoolkids and Suppi Huhn, there's a special guest who'll be rockin' the stage - none other than Markus Wienstroer, guitarist for the legendary Marius Müller-Westernhagen's band!

It's a free concert, but donations will be gladly accepted for the school's support association. And with a chance like this to catch a well-known musician like Wienstroer in a small town like Hünxe, aside from the annual world stars of the punk scene at the Ruhrpott Rodeo, you better believe this'll be a one-of-a-kind show. School rehearsals are happening during regular hours, and parents have been given a link to listen to the concert songs at home.

So, what makes this concert so special? Last year, the school started its journey towards becoming a Children's Rights School. That means a Children's Parliament, class parliaments, and revising concepts. The students has really dug in, and to involve art and music, they reached out to Suppi Huhn. Barbara Kehr, the headteacher, had met him at a workshop, and she'd already had a positive experience with the children's singer at her previous school in Dinslaken. When he visited for the first time, the students welcomed him like a rock star!

This positive energy didn't go unnoticed by Westernhagen guitarist Markus Wienstroer. He was so impressed by the school that he even sent a recording of the Bruckhausen students singing "Chocolate Ice Cream" to Suppi. Barbara Kehr, a self-proclaimed "fan" of Marius, can't wait for the big concert.

The schoolchildren's collaboration with Suppi Huhn won't end with this concert, though. There's talk of them writing a school song together. The students in Bruckhausen are really looking forward to this creative opportunity! If you want to know more about this event or related news, be sure to check local newspapers, the official Westernhagen website, or their social media accounts for updates. This promises to be a spectacle you definitely won't want to miss!

With the upcoming concert on June 25th, entertainment is about to take center stage in Bruckhausen. Apart from Suppi Huhn, the tea time sensation, renowned musician Markus Wienstroer, guitarist for Marius Müller-Westernhagen's band, will also be rocking the stage.
