Rock legends Oasis ignite Cardiff with their highly anticipated return to the stage

Britpop legends Oasis have made a triumphant return to the stage, launching their comeback tour in Cardiff, Wales on July 4. The tour, which will conclude in Sao Paulo, Brazil in November, promises a celebration of the band's greatest hits and fan favourites from their celebrated catalog.

The setlist for the first concert in Cardiff featured a strong mix of classic hits, spanning across their albums, with a particular emphasis on their first two iconic records, *Definitely Maybe* and *(What's the Story) Morning Glory?*, both celebrating their 30th anniversaries in 2025. The opening number was the 1995 hit "Hello," followed by "Acquiesce," "Morning Glory," and many more fan favourites such as "Some Might Say," "Cigarettes and Alcohol," "Fade Away," "Supersonic," "Roll With It," "Talk Tonight," "Half the World Away," "Little by Little," "D'You Know What I Mean?," "Stand By Me," "Cast No Shadow," "Slide Away," "Whatever," "Live Forever," "Rock 'n' Roll Star," "The Masterplan," "Don't Look Back in Anger," "Wonderwall," and "Champagne Supernova."

As the tour continues, the band will perform in Manchester, starting on July 11, after their successful debut in Cardiff. Omar Llamas, a 39-year-old from Mexico, and Cynthia Flores, a 30-year-old from Mexico, were among the international fans who attended the Cardiff concert. Charlotte Abisset, a 37-year-old Frenchwoman, is also set to attend her first Oasis concert after being a fan for 25 years.

The comeback tour includes a total of 41 concerts worldwide, with an estimated collective spending of over 1,000 million pounds (around 1.365 billion dollars) on tickets and related expenses by Oasis fans. However, the excessive increase in ticket prices, caused by a pricing system called "dynamic," has sparked outrage and controversy. The UK competition regulator has opened an investigation into the practices of the Ticketmaster sales platform.

In a program before the first concert, Noel Gallagher spoke about Oasis' success among a new generation that "understands that Oasis was not a prefabricated product." Liam Gallagher, the band's leader and a native of Manchester, England, stated on social media that the only thing that matters is what the people feel. Regarding unreleased tracks and surprise guest performers, there is no confirmed information as of the first shows.

Oasis announced their return last August, just before the 30th anniversary of their first album, "Definitely Maybe." The tour marks a significant milestone for the band, offering fans a chance to relive the magic of their classic hits and create new memories in the process.

In the midst of the comeback tour, Oasis fans eagerly anticipate surprise guest performers and potential unreleased tracks at upcoming concerts. The international buzz surrounding the tour has led to a collective spending of over 1,000 million pounds (around 1.365 billion dollars) on tickets and related expenses by fans worldwide.
