Rock legends Iron Maiden unveil additional European shows for 2026, featuring a cellphone-free performance in Paris and a clandestine UK concert.
British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have added more European dates to their highly anticipated Run For Your Lives world tour. The tour, which will kick off in May 2026, will span 11 shows across various cities from May to July.
The tour will commence with a return to La Défense Arena in Paris, where the band played two sold-out concerts earlier this year. This time around, Iron Maiden will perform a phone-free show that will be filmed for an upcoming release. Fans attending the Paris date will need to use Yondr pouches to secure their phones during the performance. Frontman Bruce Dickinson spoke highly of the phone ban practice last year, stating that it enhances the live concert experience.
The Run For Your Lives tour will visit Bucharest's Arena Națională on May 28, followed by Sofia's Vasil Levski Stadium on May 26. The tour will then move on to Athens' OAKA on May 23, Hannover's Heinz von Heiden Arena on June 2, and Bratislava's Národný Futbalový Štadión on May 30. The tour will continue in Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome on Jun 10, and conclude with a single concert in Germany during the tour on July 11, 2026. The location for the UK date is yet to be disclosed.
Iron Maiden's new touring drummer, Simon Dawson, will be joining the band for the Run For Your Lives tour. Dawson has previously played with Steve Harris in Harris' side-project British Lion and is set to make his debut with Iron Maiden. Nicko McBrain, Iron Maiden's longtime drummer, retired from the live stage last year after suffering a TIA (transient ischaemic attack, or mini-stroke) in January 2023.
In addition to these headline shows, Iron Maiden will play a number of festivals in 2026, details of which will be announced at a later date. Tickets for the European dates will go on sale next week. The new Run For Your Lives dates will continue the Eddie's Dive Bar concept, offering exclusive merchandise and beverages.
The first show of the Run For Your Lives tour received a near-perfect four-and-a-half stars from Metal Hammer. Fans are eagerly anticipating the tour, with many praising the band's commitment to delivering high-energy, unforgettable live performances. Iron Maiden will take the entire year 2027 off from live shows, so catch them on the Run For Your Lives tour in 2026!
