As a young girl in the 50s, Suzi Quatro witnessed the electrifying world of rock 'n' roll on television, courtesy of the legendary Elvis Presley. With a spark in her eye and a fire in her soul, Quatro declared, "I'm gonna do that too!" And she bloody well did.
Fast-forward through three-quarters of a century, Suzi Quatro has more than succeeded her grand dream, shattering barriers and expectations as a female rock star. "I was the first. Not just one of the first. The industry had never seen a female rock star playing bass and leading an all-male band before me. I'm proud to say I made that happen," the music icon boasted.
Suzi Quatro's discography boasts over 50 million albums sold, and she showed no signs of slowing down with her latest album, "Face to Face," released in 2023.
Keeping Her Feet on the Ground
To stay rooted amidst her stunning success, Quatro created an "ego room" adorned with her awards, posters, and stage attire in her home. "I've always felt a strong connection with Germany. I never expected I'd end up with a German, but I felt right at home. The German audience loves simple, raw rock, and that's what I'm all about," Quatro shared.
