In the world of rock music, Robin Trower continues to make waves with his latest album, Come and Find Me. This new release, out now, marks Trower's second album of the year, following a 50th anniversary reissue of his classic album, For Earth Below.

Trower's gear for Come and Find Me includes two 4x12s with 100-watt Marshall heads and a custom-made overdrive pedal. Interestingly, all of his pedals are Fulltone pedals, made by Mike Fuller, including the Deja Vibe, Clyde wah, OCD overdrive, and a personal pedal called WahFull. For his guitar amps, Trower prefers 50-watt Marshalls (1987 model) and open-back 2x12 cabs.

The recording process for Come and Find Me differs significantly from that of For Earth Below, which was more typical of the 1970s. For Earth Below involved recording the main guitar, bass, and drums live, followed by filling in gaps and adding solos and vocals. In contrast, Trower's approach for Come and Find Me is more modern and streamlined, with him recording guitar parts to machine drums and building up the song from there.

Trower's latest album was inspired by the idea of writing a James Bond theme. The lyrical theme of Come and Find Me revolves around the red tape and hurdles in society.

Robin Trower is a prolific musician, constantly coming up with new songs. In fact, he has recently finished another album. His signature Stratocasters, built by Fender Master Builder Todd Krause, feature a bigger headstock, three reissue pickups, a vintage bridge with locking tuners, larger frets, and a five-way switch.

Trower believes that volume plays a significant role in his guitar sound, and he prefers playing live for the "circle of sound" between the guitar pickups and speakers. He recorded his ideas for new songs on his phone, and the writing process starts with him picking up the guitar every day and creating guitar parts, which he then develops into songs.
