Roberto De Zerbi Set to Become New Tottenham Hotspur Manager
Roberto De Zerbi takes over as Tottenham's new head coach on five-year deal
Italian tactician Roberto De Zerbi is poised to take over as the new head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, according to insider Nicolo Schira, who reports that the two sides are finalizing a long-term deal.
Sources indicate that De Zerbi's contract with the London club will run for five years.
It is also understood that the coach and Tottenham's leadership have already begun assembling his future backroom staff. De Zerbi has prior Premier League experience, having previously managed Brighton & Hove Albion. His most recent role was at Marseille, which he left in February 2026. Before that, he also coached Shakhtar Donetsk, Sassuolo, Benevento, and Palermo.
On March 29, Tottenham dismissed Igor Tudor from his post. The Croatian had been appointed on February 14, becoming the club's third permanent manager of the 2025/26 season, following the departures of Thomas Frank and Ange Postecoglou.
