U.S. Academy Taps Robert Habeck as Guest Lecturer - Robert Habeck to deliver lectures at American educational institution

looks like former German Vice Chancellor, Robert Habeck, is swapping the halls of power for the hallowed grounds of academia – or so a recent report suggests. According to Focus, Habeck is gearing up to become a guest lecturer at the prestigious University of California, Berkeley!

Together with renowned German economist, Ulrike Malmendier, a current Berkeley professor, Habeck is slated to deliver a lecture series on crises. The university reports that the collaboration is set to commence in the coming months, though official details remain to be ironed out.

When pressed by the German Press Agency (DPA), Habeck confirmed his interest in the opportunity but kept tight-lipped about the specifics. "I am in conversations with UC Berkeley and am delighted by the interest" he replied, echoing the sentiments of another political heavyweight, Joschka Fischer, who made a similar move across the pond following his career in government.

Habeck on the House Foreign Affairs Committee

With the Greens experiencing a setback in the Chancellor race, Habeck currently dedicates his efforts to the Foreign Affairs Committee for his faction – focusing particularly on relations with the U.S. It remains unclear whether Habeck's new role as a guest lecturer at Berkeley signals the end of his tenure in the German parliament. At present, discussions about a possible successor for Habeck are still under wraps.
