Roadway restrictions imposed on the Kolyma route segment

Due to surface water on the R-504 Kolyma federal highway in the Magadan region, all vehicle traffic has been halted from kilometer 1681 between Orotukan and the Omsukchan turnoff, as announced by the Ministry of Road Management and Transport, effective from 2:00 PM on August 19, 2025.

The Magadan Incidents Channel has reported an incident occurring on the 1681st kilometer of the federal highway R-504 "Kolyma" between Orotukan and the turnoff to Omskuyan. This incident has caused traffic closure since 14:00 on August 19, 2025, affecting the "Kolyma" Highway bridge over the Chekay River.

According to the report, water has overflowed onto the roadway, leading to the closure of the highway for all types of vehicles. The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is responsible for the restoration of traffic on the "Kolyma" highway in the Magadan region.

However, no specific information about equipment operating to ensure passage on the Yakutsk - Magadan Highway in relation to this incident was provided. The Magadan Life and Magadan Region Group have also reported the incident.
