Roadside blast in Belgorod region leaves two civilians hurt
In a series of unfortunate events, a car explosion and a subsequent drone strike have caused injuries in the Krasnoyarusky district of the Belgorod region, Russia.
Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported the incidents on his Telegram channel on August 27, 2023. The car bomb explosion took place on the Kholotilovka - Repyevka highway, leaving two civilians with injuries.
One of the injured civilians was diagnosed with barotrauma and has been transferred to City Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod for further examination. The other injured civilian has a preliminary diagnosis of 'contusion of the lumbar region'. Both victims from the car explosion were hospitalized in the Krasnoyarusky Central District Hospital.
In a separate incident, three people received severe shrapnel wounds, burns, and barotrauma after a drone strike in the Belgorod region. The location of the drone strike is not specified in the report. Emergency services were working at the scene to attend to the injured.
It is important to note that the drone strike occurred independently of the car explosion on the Kholotilovka - Repyevka highway. The information about the drone strike was not previously reported by Governor Gladkov.
One injured civilian from the drone strike is being transferred to City Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod for further examination, while the other two injured civilians remain at the Krasnoyarusky Central District Hospital.
The incidents have left the community in shock, and authorities are working diligently to investigate the causes and ensure the safety of the citizens. The Governor's office has not provided any updates regarding the condition of the injured or the ongoing investigations.
