Roads Obstructed Due to Heavy Snowfall

Snow's got us all chilled in Serra da Estrela, man! Sections 11 (Piornos-Torre), 12 (Torre-Torre), and 13 (Portela do Araño-Torre) have been shut since 7:10 PM on Monday, dammit. You won't find a peep about when they'll reopen from the Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of Beiras and Serra da Estrela, but they've told Lusa news agency that it's still up in the air[1].

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) ain't exactly made of sugar and spice - they predicted snowstorms in the Serra da Estrela's highest points, slashing the altitude down to 1,400-1,600 metres at the end of Monday and freezing our asses off, too[2]. They're still forecasting snow showers in the northern and central interior's highlands, above 1,000-1,200 meters, and extending it to 800-1,000 meters in the extreme north until the wee hours[2].

So, crack a cold one and bundle up, because this ain't a walk in a park. They're also spittin' out that the northeast of Trás-os-Montes and Beira Alta might frost over and get chilly as a witch's tit[2].

For the real deets, peep Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) or local news sources[1]. You'll find the latest on road conditions and when in blazes those sections will open up again. Just remember - Mother Nature ain't got no sense of humor, so stay safe and keep an eye on the skies!
