Bihar's Leader of the Opposition (LoP), Tejashwi Yadav, has announced an all-out offensive to bolster the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and reinforce the INDIA Bloc's presence across the state. Yadav unveiled plans for conferences in all 243 Bihar Assembly constituencies to rejuvenate the grassroots-level organization and foster direct communication with the public.
Yadav explained, "Our mission is not just about winning seats; it’s about establishing a powerful bond with the masses. These conferences will enable us to articulate our ideology and policies effectively, and our objectives to propagate social justice in every household."
A critical stage has been set for the upcoming Bihar elections, as the INDIA Bloc, comprising RJD, Congress, CPI(M), CPI, CPI(ML), and Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP), formulates a united strategy. In a recent meeting, a Coordination Committee was formed to ensure a shared minimum program, a testament to the alliance's unified effort. The Committee, led by Tejashwi Yadav, comprises various members representing each party.
Among the key issues of concern are poverty, unemployment, and migration, which the alliance intends to tackle decisively. Tejashwi Yadav noted that the incumbent government's failures, such as high crime rates, unemployment, and corruption, present an opportunity for the Mahagathbandhan to gain support.
The alliance intends to confront the ruling NDA and new entrants effectively, with a focus on winning over key communities like Muslims, non-dominant Dalits, and the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC). The INDIA Bloc has also acknowledged the potential disruption posed by Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party, and plans to counteract their influence diligently.
