Rivers Administrator Once Again Skips Representation Engagement Meeting
Hangin' with Ibas, the Lone Wolf of Rivers State, Skips Town on Parliamentary Meeting
Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, our state's sole administrator, didn't show up for a scheduled appearance before the House of Reps Ad-Hoc Committee on the Rivers State oversight. The committee, presided over by Professor Julius Ihonvbere, had invited Ibas to discuss the political landscape and governance in our state under the declared state of emergency.
This isn't the first time Ibas has missed an appointment. Our website reveals that the committee previously postponed its meeting with Ibas. Originally scheduled for 17th April, the meeting was delayed due to a formal request from Ibas for a later date.
Ibas's no-show at Thursday's meeting left the lawmakers looking disappointed, but silence was the answer when reporters asked about his absence. "No comment," Ihonvbere simply replied [1].
In response to this, some speculate that Ibas might be finding his feet in the new role and needs more time to prepare a detailed report for the committee [2][3]. But time will tell, and we'll keep you posted on any further developments.
