Rival clubs of Tottenham Hotspur face intensifying title pressure, according to statements made by coach Pochettino

In the intensifying race for the top four spots in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur find themselves in a precarious position, according to their manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Currently sitting in third place, Spurs have been in impressive form, winning three consecutive league matches and six games in all competitions. Last weekend, they ended Chelsea's unbeaten streak, a significant victory that boosted their confidence.

However, the north London derby against Arsenal on Sunday could potentially jeopardise their position in the top four. A loss could prove costly, as Pochettino admits the pressure to prove themselves as title contenders is less this season.

Pochettino believes that the battle for Champions League places this season is more challenging than last term. He states that teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal are on a different level, with other clubs making more investments to close the gap.

Despite the increased difficulty, Pochettino maintains belief in Tottenham's ability to deliver a good job and secure a top-four spot. He believes that compared to last season, Tottenham is closer to the top, but not yet a contender for the title.

Interestingly, unlike many of their rivals, Tottenham have not made any signings during the off-season. This disparity in off-season spending could provide some relief for Pochettino and his team, allowing them to feel free of expectation.

In their next match, Spurs will attempt to halt Arsenal's 18-game undefeated streak. On Sunday, the battle for a coveted top-four spot will intensify, with both teams eager to secure a crucial victory.

As the season progresses, it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can maintain their form and challenge for a Champions League spot. With Pochettino at the helm, Spurs fans will undoubtedly be hopeful that their team can rise to the occasion and secure a top-four finish.
