Tennis Talent Justin Engel Hires Former Coach of Kerber - Rising tennis star Justin Engel hires elite coach Dieter Kindlmann for career push

Eighteen-year-old German tennis player Justin Engel has added a high-profile name to his coaching team. Dieter Kindlmann, a veteran coach with experience working with top players, will join Engel's support staff from 1 March. The move comes as Engel continues his season at the Challenger tournament in Quimper, France.

Engel, currently ranked 148th in the world, has been building his career on the professional tour. His last Grand Slam attempt at the Australian Open ended in the qualifying rounds. Now, he aims to strengthen his game with Kindlmann's guidance.

The 43-year-old Kindlmann brings a wealth of experience to the role. He has previously coached former world number ones Angelique Kerber and Maria Sharapova, as well as Aryna Sabalenka and rising Swiss talent Dominic Stricker. Currently, he also works with Fabian Marozsan, another player on the ATP Tour. Kindlmann will team up with Engel's existing coach, Ulf Fischer, starting next month. The partnership suggests a focused effort to elevate Engel's performance in the coming season.

The addition of Kindlmann marks a significant step in Engel's young career. With a new coaching setup in place, the German teenager will look to improve his ranking and make deeper runs in tournaments. His next test comes at the Challenger event in Quimper, where he continues to compete this week.
